Driver dies after crashing into tree in El Cajon

SAN DIEGO, CA – A driver died when their vehicle crashed into a tree off State Route 79 in El Cajon on Wednesday afternoon, according to CHP.

A pickup truck crashed with a tree off the roadway on State Route 79 near the intersection with State Route 76 at about 4:30 p.m.

Few details about the accident have been made available, however, we do know that at least one person was pronounced dead after the crash.
