Construction truck involved in I-5 crash in Encinitas

SAN DIEGO, CA – A construction pickup truck was involved in an accident with a sedan on Interstate 5 in Encinitas early on Tuesday morning.

According to CHP, a white Ford F-750 pickup truck crashed with a grey Toyota Prius on I-5 south near Leucadia Boulevard at about 3:50 a.m. The Prius was overturned in the accident and ended up on its roof in the slow lane.

An ambulance was called to the scene. It was confirmed that the driver of the pickup was not injured, however, it is unclear whether or not the Prius’ driver was injured when the sedan overturned.
