Car takes down power lines in Temecula
SAN DIEGO, CA – Authorities responded to a single-vehicle crash that took down a telephone pole on a Temecula area backroad on Thursday morning.
According to CHP, a silver Chrysler 300 went off the road, down an embankment, and struck the telephone near the intersection of Avenida la Cresta and Via Entrada just before 7:30 a.m. The car was about 50 feet down the embankment.
The telephone pole was broken at the bottom and power lines were down across the road. It took emergency crews about an hour to clear the scene and reopen the road.
