Car splits in two after crashing into National City pole
SAN DIEGO, CA – A vehicle split into two after crashing into a utility pole along Interstate 805 in National City on Thursday evening, according to CHP.
The vehicle was northbound on I-805 when the vehicle left the road, went up an embankment, and crashed into a utility pole near East Plaza Boulevard at about 5:20 p.m.
The vehicle split in two in the impact then began to catch fire.
It is unclear whether anyone was injured in the accident. An ambulance responded to the scene as a precaution.
