Car fire spreads to nearby brush
SAN DIEGO, CA – A car caught fire yesterday evening and caused a brush fire in Barrett Junction. The California Highway Patrol reports that a Nissan Altima caught fire at 1020 Barrett Lake Road at around 6 p.m. yesterday. Police responded to the accident and found the vehicle burning completely through. The fire spread to the brush on the right side of the road. Emergency responders were able to put the fire out and reopen the road after about an hour.
We can confirm that the driver of the vehicle was uninjured in the accident. The vehicle, however, was completely damaged.
