Car fire reported in San Marcos
SAN MARCOS, CA – Caltrans San Diego reported a car fire yesterday afternoon in San Marcos. According to the traffic report, the incident occurred on the westbound lanes of State Route 78 east of Rancho Santa Fe at around 1:49 p.m. No details on how the fire started are known at this time.
We can confirm that the left lane of westbound SR-78 was closed for about three hours for investigation and cleanup. It’s unclear if anyone was injured in the fire.
