Car crashes into hydrant, apartment building, creating electrocution risk in Santee
SANTEE, CA – A car collided with a fire hydrant and an apartment building, creating what the San Diego Sheriff considered to be an extreme hazard in Santee this morning, according to Fox 5 San Diego.
The accident happened around 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Woodside Ave and N Magnolia Ave when a driver crashed into a fire hydrant, then into an apartment building.
The vehicle struck a utility box, causing the water from the hydrant to become charged, authorities feared.
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office warned people to avoid the area due to the serious risk of electrocution.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
