Former Miami Heat star Alonzo Mourning is being sued over a car crash that happened Sunday‚ July 17 at 3 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the Julia Tuttle Causeway in Miami. 20-year-old William Candelario was driving his Audio across the bridge and flipped several times.
According to Candelario’s attorney‚ Mourning’s Porsche hit the rear driver’s side of the Audi after Candelario’s initial accident. Mourning left the scene of the accident and returned with his wife Traci in a different car. The attorney also said that Mourning’s Porsche has $30‚000 in damages‚ though it is not listed on the Florida Highway Patrol’s accident report.
Though the victim was diagnosed with a concussion and memory loss‚ he is suing for “information” and damages‚ such as compensation from loss of time from work‚ school‚ and medical bills.
The former Miami Heat star should consult with an experienced car accident attorney to learn about his legal rights and options. A personal injury lawyer will also help Mourning‚ who has been very cooperative with authorities‚ get through and settle this auto accident lawsuit.
