89-year-old man dies in car accident in Borrego Springs
SAN DIEGO, CA – Authorities have released the identity of an 89-year-old man killed in a car accident in Borrego Springs last Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Office of the Medical Examiner, the driver was headed west in the 1600 block of Palm Canyon Drive when she noticed that her husband–and front-seat passenger–was asleep at about 2:30 p.m. As the woman looked away from the road, her car drifted toward the side of the road. The vehicle overturned when she overcorrected.
The driver was taken to an area hospital and treated for her injuries. Her husband was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was identified as Alfred Guillot of Borrego Springs.
