60-year-old pedestrian injured while crossing the street
SAN DIEGO, CA – A pedestrian was seriously injured by a car while crossing the street in the Jamacha-Lomita neighborhood on Monday evening.
According to Fox News San Diego, the 60-year-old woman was crossing Cardiff Street near Jamacha Road at about 8 p.m. She was not in the crosswalk when a southbound black SUV struck and injured her.
The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, which including a broken pelvis, a collapsed lung, and fractured ribs. The injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The driver fled the scene.
