44-year-old pedestrian hit by car and seriously injured
SAN DIEGO, CA – A 44-year-old woman was seriously injured early this morning while crossing the street. According to Patch, the incident occurred at the intersection of Kettner Boulevard and West Broadway at around 1:15 a.m.
The pedestrian was walking northbound on Kettner Boulevard in the crosswalk when she was struck by a Toyota Camry heading westbound on Broadway. The 25-year-old driver of the Toyota was traveling through a green light when the collision occurred.
The driver stayed behind at the scene and cooperated with police. The 44-year-old woman was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of a pelvic fracture and a wrist fracture.
