2 people taken to hospital after El Cajon house fire, 8 displaced
EL CAJON, CA – Two people were hospitalized after a house fire that displaced eight people and destroyed a building in El Cajon early this morning, according to NBC San Diego.
The two-alarm fire was reported at about 3:20 a.m. in the 1700 block of Hacienda Drive.
One of the victims, an elderly man, was sent to the hospital with mild injuries, according to the report. Another person was sent as well, for the treatment of smoke inhalation injuries.
The house was destroyed in the blaze, and a total of eight people and a dog have been displaced as a result.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire at this time.
