9-year-old injured after being struck by vehicle

SAN DIEGO, CA – A 9-year-old boy was hit by a vehicle in Oceanside this afternoon. The California Highway Patrol reports that the collision occurred at 2:34 p.m. on Pepper Tree Lane and South Mission Road. According to the police, the young boy was riding his bicycle through the intersection when the vehicle struck him.

An ambulance was called to the scene, and injuries are being reported. The extent of the boy’s injuries is unclear at this time, but we will update you when we have more information.
