69-Year-Old Pedestrian Hit by a Car in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA – On Saturday evening, a 69-year-old man was hit by a vehicle, while walking in the Otay Mesa West. The driver, a 19-year-old in a 2001 Mercedes-Benz C240, was traveling north on Beyer Boulevard when he hit a pedestrian who was walking south.
The pedestrian suffered open fractures along his leg in addition to other injuries, and he was transported to the hospital at the time of the accident. The driver suffered no injuries and police do not believe alcohol or drug use was involved in the accident. According to NBC San Diego, a police officer reported on Sunday that the pedestrian is expected to survive his injuries.
