2 injured after driver runs vehicle into pole in Chula Vista

SAN DIEGO, CA – The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that a 25-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man were injured in a crash early yesterday morning. The 25-year-old woman was driving her vehicle at high speed and crashed the car into a traffic signal pole at around 7:45 a.m. on the corner of H Street and Third Avenue.

The vehicle suffered minor damages. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The 19-year-old passenger sustained a moderate to severe head injury and was also transported to the hospital. We’ll update you when we know more about his condition.

Police say they tested the driver for DUI, but she was not found to be impaired.
