18-year-old motorcyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in Rancho Bernardo Crash
SAN DIEGO, CA – An 18-year-old motorcyclist suffered severe injuries in a collision with a car yesterday afternoon. The young man was riding westbound in the 16600 block of Pomerado Road when an 80-year-old woman driving eastbound in a 2008 blue Chrysler PT Cruiser made a left-hand turn into his path. Unable to avoid a collision, the motorcyclist hit the right side of the PT Cruiser and was thrown from his vehicle.
The Chrysler suffered some damage to the front right passenger door, but the woman was not injured in the accident. The Times of San Diego reports that emergency responders transported the young man to a nearby hospital to be treated for life-threatening head injuries.
Police are currently investigating the accident, and our team will update you when we know more about the situation.
