Other impairments for adults fall under the categories of special senses and speech, digestive system, respiratory system, genitourinary impairments, skin disorders, hematological disorders, impairments affecting multiple body systems, immune system disorders, and malignant neoplastic diseases.

The listing of impairments for children includes the following: (not a complete list)
- respiratory system - chronic pulmonary insufficiency, asthma, cystic fibrosis, and lung transplant;
- genitourinary impairments - chronic renal disease, nephritic syndrome, and congenital impairments;
- hematological disorders - hemolytic anemia, sickle cell disease, chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, and inherited coagulation disorder;
- impairments affecting multiple body systems - non-mosaic Down syndrome and any catastrophic congenital abnormality or disease; and
- malignant neoplastic diseases - malignant solid tumors, certain lymphomas, leukemia, and brain tumors.
Other impairments for children fall under the categories of growth impairment, endocrine disorders, mental disorders, musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular system, special senses and speech, digestive system, skin disorders, neurological, and immune system disorders.
