If You Cause a Car Accident, Always Notify Your Insurance Company! Not Doing So Cost Hulk Hogan $1.5 Million!

If your inattention caused a car accident in California, always be sure to report the accident to your insurance company. The reason why you purchased auto insurance was to have your insurance company stand behind you and cover the costs of an attorney and pay for your damages. That is right: You do not need to hire an attorney after an auto accident caused by your carelessness. Your insurance company will hire a lawyer for you.

All auto insurance policies contain a provision that requires the insurance company to hire an attorney, if necessary, for their insured. Also required is that the insured must notify the insurance company that a claim is about to be filed against them. This law firm was paid to do what Mr. Hogan's insurance company would have done for free! Mr. Hogan spent $1.5 million in legal fees and had to sue the law firm to try and get his money back.
