San Diego Teenager Suffers Spinal Fracture After Being Involved in SR-94 Auto Accident
The Jurewitz Law Group represented a teenage girl from a Spanish speaking family who suffered a multiple level spinal fracture in her neck. She was a rear seat passenger in her family's vehicle when they were hit from behind by a SUV on SR-94 in south San Diego County.
Unfortunately, the driver who hit our client did not have much insurance and her family did not carry enough underinsured (UIM) motorist coverage to pay for the shortcoming. As a result, we were forced to accept the $25,000 policy limits from the other driver. However, we also made sure that all health care bills were paid and the right of reimbursement to the health care company was reduced to less than $5,000 (a reduction from nearly $75,000).
