San Diego Man Develops Cellulitis Following Trip in Construction Area
The Jurewitz Law Group represented an elderly man who entered, by mistake, a hotel construction area at night in the Gaslamp District of Downtown San Diego. At the time, he was trying to avoid the especially busy sidewalk traffic so he could get to the corner of the intersection faster. Unfortunately, the developer's employees had left the fencing to the construction area down in one part and our client mistakenly entered and tripped over steel plating.
While the fall was relatively minor, our client developed severe cellulitis which required him to be hospitalized and have prolonged care.
This case was very contentious and the developer claimed that our client was at fault for entering the construction area on his own. Also, our client had experienced similar complaints nearly one year before this accident.
