Our client was injured by a producer for The Jimmy Kimmel Show who struck our client as he was crossing an intersection in Hollywood with his car. The accident caused an injury to our client's left leg in that he suffered a non-displaced fractured patella and a torn MCL. Fortunately the medical expenses were kept low as all that could be done was to immobilize the knee and give it time to heal.
The insurance company offered $34,000 prior to filing a lawsuit. Despite our recommendation that our client intiate litigation and file a complaint with the Superior Court, our client decided to settle his claim as he was getting ready to relocate across country. It was our opinion that the settlement value for this case was between $50-60,000.
