A 61-year-old woman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run wreck that occurred on September 25‚ 2011,
around 11:30 p.m. in the 3500 block of Central Avenue. According to the police‚ the woman was removing her dead dog that had been hit by a car when a southbound vehicle struck her in San Diego’s Castle neighborhood.
The impact of the collision was so strong that the female and her pet were thrown forward and onto the pavement. The woman suffered a broken leg and lacerated liver and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital to receive medical treatment.
The accident is under investigation. Investigating officers need to locate the older read four-door Buick sedan and driver‚ who is said to be a Hispanic man with facial hair. The motorist committed the felony of hit-and-run.
