46-year-old Rafael Gonzalez, 29-year-old Isabel Arellano, and 33-year-old Eddie Gonzalez were killed in a severe rollover car crash that took place on April 18 around 7:20 p.m. on Interstate 15 (I-15) just south of Halloran Summit Road in the Mojave Desert. According to the San Bernardino County coroner, Rafael Gonzalez was at the wheel of a 2002 Ford Expedition sport utility vehicle traveling north on the interstate when he lost control of the vehicle. All three victims were from Las Vegas.
According to police, the Ford swerved into the center divider and rolled over several times before it finally came to rest. At this time, the victims’ family members should immediately seek counsel from an experienced San Bernardino County rollover car accident lawyer who would educate them about their legal rights.
The passengers’ family members may file an auto accident wrongful death claim against the driver of the SUV to obtain compensation to cover funeral and burial costs, loss of anticipated earnings, loss of love, care and companionship, and other related damages. However, if the accident occurred due to an auto defect, then all the victims’ families may be entitled to compensation.
Our law office sends sincere condolences to the victims’ family members.
