22-year-old Kenneth Pentoney II died in a solo vehicle crash that took place on May 16 around 12:10 a.m. on Jurupa Ave. in Riverside. According to Riverside County Coroner’s Office, Pentoney was driving on Jurupa Avenue when he lost control of his pickup and hit two utility poles.
The victim suffered a partial vehicle ejection. The investigating officers need to determine what was the preliminary cause of the loss of control in this accident.
If the fatality was due to an auto defect, the victim’s family can file a wrongful death claim against the manufacturer to obtain compensation for burial and funeral expenses, loss of anticipated earnings, and other accident-related damages.
