17-year-old Michael Schmoll was killed in a severe auto accident that occurred on March 17 around 8:36 a.m. at Choiceana Avenue and Benicia Street in Hesperia. According to San Bernardino County coroner’s officials, Schmoll lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree in the high desert city, about a mile northeast of Hesperia Golf and Country Club.
The driver was ejected from his 1990 Buick. Schmoll sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the accident scene. Based on this news report, officials suspect that a loss of control due to a vehicular malfunction may have played a part in this fatal collision.
The family members of the deceased victim would be well-advised to consult with an experienced San Bernardino car accident lawyer, who will stay abreast of the official investigation and make sure that the negligent party is held liable.
The victim’s family members may file a wrongful death claim against the manufacturer to obtain compensation to cover funeral and burial costs, loss of anticipated earnings, loss of love, care, and companionship, and other related damages.
Our law office sends sincere condolences to the victim’s family members.
