According to San Diego County sheriff’s Cpl. Steve Ellison‚ a 62-year-old man attempted to turn his 2010 Suzuki SX4 into a parking stall when the crossover vehicle began to accelerate. The car went over the sidewalk and crashed into the side of the Taco Bell.
A 45-year-old man sitting inside the Taco Bell was struck and complained of pain to his entire left side. The motorist also suffered a major cut in his head. Both the injured victims were immediately transported to Palomar Medical Center for treatment.
The driver told police that the vehicle accelerated for no reason. If the loss of control was due to a car defect in the brakes‚ then the auto maker may be financially responsible for the injuries caused by their company’s defective product. However‚ if it was due to the driver’s negligence‚ then the injured man can file a personal injury lawsuit against the driver. ![]()
