A San Diego Police Department motorcycle officer suffered a head injury after falling in Carmel Valley.  The officer was bleeding from the back of his head and was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla following the fall.  As of this afternoon it was unclear what caused the motorcycle accident.
