A-List celebrity Reese Witherspoon was hit by a car in Santa Monica while she was jogging on September 7‚ 2011 around 11am. Witherspoon was crossing the street when the driver failed to stop.
The actress was rushed to a Santa Monica hospital and treated for very minor injuries. Law enforcement cited the 84-year-old female driver for failing to yield to a pedestrian.
The 84-year-old female driver has been cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian. She has been ordered to the DMV to retake her driver’s test and receive a full re-examination within the next 30 days. Law enforcement said the elderly woman will have to take an eye exam and provide a list of medications she’s taking.
Fortunately‚ Reese has since been released and is comfortably resting in her home.
