An unidentified 21-year-old man suffered serious injuries to his ankle in a hit-and-run car crash that occurred on July 4‚ 2011‚ around 10:15 p.m. in the 5000 block of Santa Monica. According to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros‚ the pedestrian’s foot was run over by a motorist driving a Mazda Sedan‚ who fled the scene.
