An unidentified motorcyclist was killed in a San Diego motorcycle accident that occurred on April 16‚ 2011‚ around 4:20 p.m. on State Route 78 in Escondido. According to California Highway Patrol Officer Chris Parent‚ the motorcyclist was riding between the two lanes and‚ at the point where lanes merge together‚ he lost control of the vehicle.
The impact of the crash was so strong that the motorcyclist was thrown off his bike towards the right shoulder of the road. Paramedics immediately transported the injured motorcyclist to Palomar Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
