A 26-year-old man was injured after a gunman opened fire four times along I-5N and 805N in San Diego. The incident began when shots were fired after a hit-and-run car accident on northbound I-805 near Plaza Boulevard at 10:30 a.m. on Monday‚ October 3.
The injured man was the victim in the second incident. He was driving his white Hyundai sedan when he was shot in the leg along northbound I-805 just south of Mesa College. The victim was immediately taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital to have his non-life threatening injuries treated.
The third shooting involved a CHP officer on the right shoulder of I-805N near Highway 163. The fourth involved an ambulance fired upon while on I-5N near Del Mar Heights. Police are currently looking for the suspects‚ who were driving a white Chevy Malibu with license plate: 5POM917.
