Four people suffered mild to moderate injuries after their cars collided head-on on May 28 around 10 p.m. in the 10000 block of Jamacha Boulevard in Spring Valley, located in east San Diego County.
Authorities closed both lanes of Jamacha Boulevard to conduct their investigation. Though it is unclear what caused this Spring Valley car crash, officers will look into whether alcohol or drugs played a role on this Memorial Day crash.
Barbecues, boating, and beer are pretty typical for the three-day weekend celebration, and it is no surprise that drunk drivers and DUI incidents are especially high around Memorial Day.
If one of the drivers is found to be under the influence, then the injured passengers can file a claim against him to seek damages. They may be entitled to compensation that will cover their medical expenses, loss of wages, cost of hospitalization, rehabilitation, and other related damages.
