24-year-old Jonell Eulalia Davis was killed in a severe two-vehicle crash that took place on April 30, 2012, around 9:41 p.m. along Fort Irwin Road just south of Kolath Road. According to San Bernardino County coroner’s officials, Davis was a passenger in a 2002 Pontiac driven by 23-year-old Chazarey Davis, who was traveling north on Irwin Road when he turned into the on-coming lane and collided with a 1996 Honda.
The Pontiac then ran off the road and overturned. Chazarey Davis and the Honda’s driver –23-year-old Diore Trammell of Apple Valley—suffered major injuries. From the present facts, it is unclear as to how this traffic collision occurred. Was there a loss of control? Was the Pontiac driver drunk or distracted?
If it is found that the Pontiac driver was reckless, then the passenger’s family may be entitled to compensation to cover funeral and burial costs, loss of anticipated earnings, loss of love, care and companionship, and other accident related damages.
