One motorist is dead and another driver suffered serious injuries in a head-on auto accident that occurred on August 10,
2011‚ shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Bradshaw north of Elk Grove Boulevard. According to Elk Grove law enforcement officials‚ the incident involved a pickup truck and a cement truck.
Elk Grove Police spokesman Officer Christopher Trim reports that the driver of a white colored pickup truck drove across the double yellow line and entered into the southbound path of the cement truck head-on. The pickup truck suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the accident scene. The cement truck driver suffered minor injuries.
Now the investigating officers need to determine what caused the pickup truck driver to lose control of his vehicle‚ whether he was speeding‚ distracted‚ or some other reason.
