Caltrans Construction Worker Seriously Injured in El Cajon Pedestrian Accident

Outcome:  One person seriously injured

A Caltrans construction worker was seriously injured when an out of control truck hit the worker’s truck as it was parked on the southbound shoulder of State Route 125 just south of Grossmont College Drive.  The construction worker‚ a 41-year-old man‚ suffered internal injuries and broken bones.  The driver of the truck was a 22-year-old El Cajon man.  It is believed the accident occurred when the tread separated from his truck’s left-rear tire while travelling 70 mph.
