Twenty-two people, most schoolchildren, fell ill and were taken to San Diego area hospitals after they were thought to be exposed to carbon monoxide, a colorless and odorless gas. The people were attending a morning Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Coronado, CA at the intersection of C Avenue and Seventh Street. However, after being taken to the hospital, none of the twenty-two people tested positive for carbon monoxide poisoning. It is currently unknown what caused them to feel ill.
